Polypropylene Fencing
All our plastic fencing is made of polypropylene and is very strong–being used customarily by seasoned deer fence installers who know their stuff. It is a black extruded poly product with a built-in UV barrier, a mesh size of 1.75 x 2 inches, an expected life of about 10 years, and a tested breaking strength of 650+ pounds per foot.
This plastic fencing is less expensive that our metal hexagrid and welded wire fencing, so it’s definitely worth consideration. However, rabbits and woodchucks tend to gnaw small holes in it that your pets may be able to get through, and dogs inclined to chew can also break it. Therefore, this fencing should not be used in areas with rabbits or woodchucks, and in general the dogs in a yard with this fencing should be supervised. If these conditions do not apply, we would recommend our metal hexagrid and welded wire fencing as alternatives.
