Ground Stakes
Use these foot-long kinked galvanized ground stakes to secure the bottom of your dog fence to the ground. The number of stakes needed will depend very much upon your dog. If your dog isn’t into digging, one stake every 3 or even 4 feet should be fine. But if you have a digger-dog Houdini it might be well to install a stake every 2 feet or even consider getting a digging barrier (see Accessories).
Our standard ground stakes are versatile gardening tools incidentally useful for staking down fencing. Far better than the little “stakes” shaped like croquet wickets that gardeners often use, these are foot-long metal stakes with a pointed end for easy ground penetration, a kink in the middle to help them stay in place, and a hook at the end to grab whatever needs holding down.
