Fence Rolls and Anti-Digging Barriers
Our quality dog fences use a strong durable material known as metal hexagrid fencing. This is essentially 20-gauge galvanized chicken wire with a 1-inch mesh that has received a UV-resistant black pvc coating to lengthen its life and reduce its visibility. While our quality fence kits use only 4-foot and 6-foot rolls, 2-foot and 3-foot rolls are also available. All of these rolls are 150 feet long with a maximum height and length variation of 5 per cent. This fencing is a lot stronger and tougher than ordinary chicken wire. People installing swimming pools in Connecticut and New York should know that this product meets the building code requirements for pool fence in those states.
We also offer a similar product to discourage dogs from digging under fences. This anti-digging barrier (product 14-35GH) consists of a roll of galvanized steel chicken wire coated with green pvc that has a 1-inch mesh. The barrier has straight horizontal wires at the top and bottom, so there are no loose ends. This barrier should be laid down along the inside of the fence and should be anchored to the soil with hefty 1-foot kinked galvanized ground stakes (product 18-01). We recommend using one ground stake for every 1.5 to 3 feet of barrier, depending on how much your dog likes to dig.
